For best results, insertion technique is key: roll tightly into a thin cylinder, pull the top of your ear up and out to straighten the canal, insert fairly deep, then hold for 15–20 seconds while the foam expands to form a snug seal, this is usually the difference between “works great” and “doesn’t block much.” Expect strong noise reduction for steady sounds (snoring, fans, traffic), and you’ll typically still hear important alerts like alarms (often at a lower volume).
